Problem Solving Festival

As part of the Irish nationwide Problem-Solving Initiative, the ADAPT Centre will host a Problem-Solving Festival on Saturday, 30th September,  from 11AM to 5PM, in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). The festival will take place in the Examination Hall in TCD, a prominent location just inside the front gates off College Green.

The family festival will have activities for all ages, including language games, logic puzzles, large-scale games, interactive workshops and curated lectures.

Reservation for workshops is only needed where indicated below. Featured at the festival include:

Propeller car challenge – work as a team to build a propeller powered car using electronic components and recycled goods

Sensory Challenge: Can you tell the difference between different smells? Do you know how a sensor works? Challenge your sense of smell in this fun activity which will illustrate how materials science research is helping develop sensors to find new ways of sensing the world within and around us.

Anyone For Science? Can you make a freezer powered by chemicals and not electricity and use this freezer to change the state of a delicious liquid to tasty ice-cream?
